Join us for a virtual tour of the NYS capitol building, learn how state government works, and meet your representatives!

Adults should join their Daisy and Brownie Girl Scouts, patch included. Please note that this program is on a weekday to fit with the legislative calendar, so participants will need to miss school.

10 a.m.- Welcome, overview of the legislative process 

10:30 a.m.- Virtual tour of the Capitol

10:45 a.m. – Assembly session 

11:15 a.m.- Introduction to Advocacy 

Noon-1 p.m.- Break 

1-1:30 p.m.- Time with legislators and staff 

1:30-2 p.m.- Closing

  •  Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards: explore ways you can involve others in advocating for issues that are important to you at the local, state, and national levels

  • Ambassador Public Policy badge steps 4 and 5:  explore local or community policy, see public policy in action
  • Ambassador Your Voice Your World Journey:  learn about ways you can advocate for change in your community and beyond
